JCE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ADVISES GRADUATES TO GO OUT AND IMPACT SOCIETY
The members of the 2020 class of the Jackson College of Education (JCE) have been admonished to be good ambassadors of the College by upholding the core values of JCE as they begin a new journey as professional teachers.
They must impact society by instilling good morals, discipline and integrity in their pupils as they go out to train children in schools across Ghana.
Mr Anthony Gyasi-Fosu, the Chairman of the Council of JCE who gave the admonition, said it was his personal belief that with the kind of training received at JCE they could transform individual pupils into real citizens who could adapt to critical circumstances and provide solutions to humanity’s grand challenges.
Speaking at the 9th Congregation of JCE in Kumasi, Mr Gyasi-Fosu implored the graduating class to live by the values of the College and strive to pursue higher education.
“I believe that you are ready, willing and more than able to grasp the porch that we bestow on you – yours is the future, and on you, the world will come to depend,” he encouraged them.
Having gone through the three-year training, Mr Gyasi-Fosu was of the strong conviction that they know what it takes to achieve their set goals, saying that, “we hope that we have provided the right ammunition that will make these become a reality.”
He reminded them that their graduation was not the end but rather the beginning of a new and even more exciting and unpredictable journey that would lead them to the next step of their dreams.
“These uncertainties should not be a personal impediment but rather an opportunity to modify your way of thinking, to be creative in your ideas and redefine your approaches to problem management and solution,” he counselled them.
He congratulated them for their hard work, perseverance and overcoming numerous challenges in pursuit of the certificate and entreated them to enrol for their top-up with JCE.
