Good teachers produce quality students – PRINCIPAL
A renowned educationist, Mrs Theodosia W.Jackson who is the Principal of Jackson College of Education has reiterated the resolve of the College to carefully train competitive professional teachers to complement the efforts of the government.
Mrs Theodosia Jackson maintained that the College will not renege on its mandate to groom committed teachers to take up appointments in rural and semi-urban centres.
She said, for young people to reach their full potentials, the country needs teachers with the ability and commitment to nurture and develop them.
The Principal stressed that the College, over the years has, together with the affiliate university, developed a curriculum meant to help students imbibe the requisite pedagogical skills to enable them to meet the approved standards expected of teachers everywhere in the world.
“Teachers are the solution to many of our problems in society. Hence, we are poised to produce a generation of outstanding and remarkable teachers to serve our nation,” she concluded.
