The occasion was also graced by the presence of the 92-year-old scintillating composer and singer, Agya Koo Nimo and his Addadam Group.

In his welcome address, the Managing Director of JIT, Mr Daniel A. Jackson mentioned that Jackson Institute of Technology stands at the forefront of technological education and practice, preparing students for success in the ever-evolving digital landscape. Dr Eric Nkansah, the Director General of GES in admonishing the graduates and SHS students gathered at the programme reiterated how those who refuse to embrace and make the necessary preparations for the technological revolution taking place will be rendered redundant like it has happened in other parts of the world. He further commended JIT for its enormous contribution to efforts being made in STEM education as Ghana’s educational system forges for a transformative educational experience that provides graduates with employable skills in this age of technological advancement and discoveries.

Oheneba Yaw Sarpong Siriboe I, the Akyempenhene of Juaben Traditional Area and National Best Farmer, 2022 in his address, outlined the transformative impact of Technology in our way of living, especially in Agriculture, and the need for everyone to be abreast of technology by taking advantage of the offers at JIT to meet up with current trends. “Farming is no longer about hoes and cutlasses. Farming is no longer as human-intensive as it used to be. Technology has taken over the sails of the agricultural sector, making it a necessary evil for all who wish to make meaningful gains from farming,” he added.
A promise of internship placement at the Juaben Rural Bank for those who study at JIT and JIIL and ten scholarships for outstanding students were given by Nana Dr. Appiagyei Dankawoso I and Dr Dominic Oduro Antwi respectively.

The award of certificates climaxed the event as graduates took turns to receive their certificates, and made memory as they posed before the cameras, their hard-earned certificates held high in joy.

The Adesua Yeya composer, Agya Koo Nimo and his Addadam Group intermittently entertained the audience with his evergreen highlife tunes, not leaving out the JEC Choir who swept the graduates and audience off their feet with their gospel tunes at the end of the graduation ceremony when the dignitaries and SHS students took turns to tour and inspect the world-class learning facilities used to teach students who attend JIT.
