JCE BUILDS THE CAPACITY OF ITS STUDENTS
The Jackson College of Education (JCE) organised a Capacity Building Seminar (CBS) on 11th August 2018.
The objective of this seminar was to create an arena to train JCE Students to obtain, retain and improve requisite knowledge and skills needed to accelerate their job competencies and employability and also, imbibe in them excellent institutional behaviour and communication.
Students were taken through the writing of formal letters (business or official letters) and Curriculum Vitae (CV) by astute facilitators in the said field.
The CBS was held at all the 30 Learning Centres of the college across the 10 regions of Ghana with participants taking active roles in the exercise with clear practical demonstrations.
The participants, who included students from all the year groups at JCE, were also introduced to Mobile Apps which can be used to enhance their skills in writing their CVs and other correspondences.
The facilitators and students who took part in the programme gave rave reviews about the exercise and expressed the desire to have such seminars organised often to comprise other areas of concern for the students.
