JIT PROVIDES A SPECIALISED IT TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR JCE STUDENTS
Jackson Institute of Technology (JIT) in partnership with NIIT India has provided specialised IT training for students of Jackson College of Education (JCE).
JCE, Ghana’s premier private College of Education that operates by distance learning believes that with the trend of technology and internet intelligence, any individual undergoing training must be prepared wholly to embrace the world of industry.
It is in this light that JIT and JCE carefully put together comprehensive courses in the area of Working Smart with Microsoft office and the Internet to enlighten its students about the world out there while they pursue their regular basic education curriculum.
As part of its distance learning modus operandi, JCE students rely on Microsoft’s Learning Management Software (LMS) – Microsoft Teams for their virtual learning. This specialised training was to augment the use of the LMS JCE students use for their academic work.
The integration of these courses is to enrich the interaction between tutors and students as both parties unravel the multifaceted use of the LMS.
Students were also endowed with knowledge and practical skills to bridge the gap between the theoretical knowledge obtained from the classroom and the ultimate demand from the world of work.
A total number of forty-four (44) students were trained and received certification from NIIT India at its maiden graduation ceremony at the Jackson Education Complex head office in Kumasi.
JCE aims to continuously provide practical IT knowledge in other courses in the future to adequately prepare students to become holistic graduates and great human resources who would touch the world positively with their initiatives wherever they go.
