KWADWO BOYE: RAISING HIGH THE FLAG OF JCE IN BAWKU WEST

Mr Boakye Kwadwo Boye, a past student of Jackson College of Education (JCE) is raising high the flag of the college in the Bawku West District in the Upper East Region.

Mr Boye who was posted to the district in 2017/2018 academic has distinguished himself as a professional teacher, winning the hearts of many education officials including the District Director of Education.

His innovative way of teaching and selflessness in the discharge of his duties make him outstanding among his peers.

In just two years, he has already received an appreciation letter from the District Director of Education for his dedication and commitment to his students.

Mr Boye out of his own resources has printed pictorial learning materials not only for his students but for the benefit of other pupils in the school.

Posted to the Zabzoaga D/A Primary school which is far from the District Capital, one would have thought he would protest the decision.

However, he is rather impacting the lives of innocent children who through no fault of theirs find themselves in that remote community.

This, the District Director of Education, Mrs Cecilia Sumaila believes is unusual and deserve commendation.

She said, if most teachers in the District could emulate the shining example of Mr Boye, the standard of education in the area would significantly improve.

The Circuit Supervisor for Gbantongo within whose jurisdiction Mr Boye teaches believes his commitment to duty is unprecedented.

He said despite his short stay in the District, he may sooner than later, be nominated for the District best teacher.

He also praised him for his active involvement in co-curricular activities and urged him to keep up the good performance.

Mr Boye who studied at the Kumasi Technical University Center of the College said his passion was to see his students excel just like their counterparts in cities and urban areas.
