The Management of Jackson College of Education has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum at his office in Accra.
The purpose of the visit was to officially congratulate him on his appointment as the Minister of Education and also to discuss pertinent educational issues that will help grow the tertiary institutions in the nation.
The meeting discussed the College’s commitment to providing excellent and relevant academic programs that will inure to the benefit of Ghanaians.
The Management took the opportunity to brief the Minister on their resolve to help provide efficient graduates who are groomed to help chart the course of quality education in the country.
Also, the Minister was briefed on the College’s corporate social responsibility in the area of Education.
Notable among them is the Danyame-Kwayem school program built by Prof and Mrs Jackson and the refurbishment of Amankwatia M/A JHS in Kumasi.
The Minister assured the Management of his commitment to support the College build an educational brand that can compete internationally. He urged the Management of the College to remain focused on training the manpower needed to solve problems.
The Delegation from Jackson college was, Prof. Ebenezer Asafua Jackson, Director of Jackson College of Education, Mr Daniel Jackson, Managing Director, Jackson Institute of Innovation and Leadership (JIIL) Mr Ebenezer A. Jackson, Registrar of the College and Mrs Theodosia Jackson, Principal of the College.
